The mill

No tree is cut for a Silvapel pellet.

Our raw material is sawdust and wood chips - the by-product stream of certified forestry and timber processing. It arrives at the mill already separated by species, which is what makes a consistent calorific value possible in the first place.

Drying, milling, conditioning and pressing happen on one line under continuous moisture control. A batch that drifts outside the ENplus A1 window never reaches the bagging station.

Because storage capacity lets us bag ahead of the season, September-to-March demand spikes do not turn into delivery gaps for the buyers who booked early.

Bagged for distributors and retail shelves, big bags for installers, bulk for depots. The pellet inside every format comes off the same line, to the same specification.

15 kg sealed bag

UV-stable printed PE bag, heat-sealed and handle-punched. 72 bags to a Euro pallet, stretch-wrapped with corner protection and a top hood for outdoor storage at the distributor.

1,000 kg big bag

Woven polypropylene with four lifting loops and a bottom discharge spout, rated for forklift and crane handling. The format installers and heating cooperatives decant themselves.

6 mm pellet

Pine and beech blend for domestic stoves and small boilers. The diameter almost every European residential appliance is built around.

Values are from the most recent batch analysis. A signed analysis accompanies every shipment, so incoming inspection has a document to check against rather than a claim to trust.

From sawdust to container

Four steps, each with a measurement behind it.

Every stage writes a number into the batch record, which is what makes the ENplus certificate auditable rather than decorative.

Sourcing

Sawdust and chips from certified forestry by-product streams, separated by species on arrival and logged against supplier.

Drying and milling

Moisture is brought under 8% and held there. Particle size is normalised before the material reaches the press.

Pressing

Die pressure and temperature are held in a narrow band. Durability is sampled per batch, not per shipment.

Bagging and loading

15 kg bags palletised and wrapped, or big bags filled and weighed. 24 tonnes to a 40 ft container, sealed at the mill.

Where we sit in the window

The margin matters more than the pass.

Meeting ENplus A1 is binary. How much room you leave inside the window is what decides whether a batch still passes after a long sea transit and a humid warehouse.

Bagged pellets are bought on ENplus and DINplus. The industrial schemes (SBP, PEFC chain-of-custody) belong to bulk power-station supply and we do not claim them here.
